01Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the Plan de DIOS project, owner of iglesiaplandedios.com, domiciled in Colombia.
Contact channels: contacto@iglesiaplandedios.com and WhatsApp +57 313 3740009. Whichever you use, the request reaches the same person and is handled within the time limits set out below.
Plan de DIOS is an online church project. Should it be incorporated as a legal entity in the future, its registered name and tax identification will be published here.
02What we collect
Only what you write to us. We do not build profiles, we do not buy databases, and we do not track your activity outside this site.
- Prayer request: name, phone or email, country or city, and the text of your request. Every field except the request itself is optional, and you can send it anonymously.
- Contact form: name, email or phone, subject and message. Contact details are required because without them we cannot reply.
- Minimal technical data: your IP address is stored alongside the submission so we can stop automated sending. It is not stored on anonymous requests.
03What we use it for
To pray for you, to reply to you and to walk alongside you. Nothing else.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not add you to any mailing list unless you ask, and we will not send you messages you did not request. We also make no automated decisions about you.
04Your authorisation
The basis for processing is your prior, express and informed authorisation, given by ticking the corresponding box before submitting any form.
Without that box the form does not send. The only exception is an anonymous prayer request, where there is no personal data to process.
We keep a record of that authorisation, and you may ask us for proof of it at any time.
05Prayer requests
Requests are private. They are not published on the site, they are not read out with your name in gatherings, and they are not shared on social media or in group chats.
Only the prayer team has access. If you would rather they did not even know who you are, tick the anonymous box: we then store no name, no contact details and no IP address, and we will not be able to reply.
06Who we share it with
No one. We do not sell, rent or transfer personal data to third parties.
The only possible exceptions are a lawful request from a competent authority, and the providers that keep the site running: hosting and email. Those providers act as processors and do not process your data on their own account.
Also Google, through Google Analytics, which receives anonymous browsing data as explained in the cookies section.
If you make a donation, the payment is processed by PayPal under its own privacy policy, and we only receive the notice with your account’s name and email, which we use for nothing else. Cryptocurrency is sent over its public network: we only see the address it comes from.
07How long we keep it
For as long as it remains useful for the purpose you gave it for, and it is deleted when it no longer is, or when you ask.
If you ask us to delete your data, it is deleted. We do not keep a copy "just in case".
08Your rights
The law grants you these rights, and here you can exercise them free of charge, with no explanation and no paperwork:
- Know what data of yours we hold and access it free of charge.
- Update and correct it if it is incomplete or inaccurate.
- Request proof of the authorisation you gave us.
- Be informed of the use we have made of it.
- Withdraw your authorisation or ask us to delete it.
- Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.
09How to exercise them, and how quickly we respond
Write to contacto@iglesiaplandedios.com or message WhatsApp +57 313 3740009, saying what you want and how to reach you. No special format is needed.
A query is answered within ten business days at most. If that is not possible, we tell you why and when it will be answered, no later than five business days after that.
A complaint is handled within fifteen business days at most. If that is not possible, we tell you why and give a new date, no later than eight business days after that.
If your complaint arrives incomplete, we will tell you within the following five days so you can complete it.
10If you are not satisfied
You may lodge a complaint with the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC), the data protection authority in Colombia.
Before that, we would be grateful if you wrote to us: almost everything is resolved in a single message, and we would rather sort it out with you directly.
11Cookies and local storage
This site uses Google Analytics to know how many people visit and which pages they read. It is the only measurement tool we have, and we use it to understand what content is useful, not to follow anyone around.
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) that give your browser a random identifier and record the pages you open, where you arrived from, and general details about your device. We do not collect your name, your email or anything that would let us know who you are.
Google acts as a data processor and may process that data outside Colombia. You can read their policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, which anonymously records how people navigate the site so we can improve it. What you type into the prayer and contact forms is masked and never recorded. Their policy is at privacy.microsoft.com.
If you would rather not be measured, you can block cookies in your browser, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or browse privately. The site works just the same.
Apart from that, we store four of your preferences in your browser: your language, whether you prefer light or dark mode, the Bible version you choose and the last chapter you read. They stay on your device, never travel to any server, and disappear if you clear your browser data.
12Minors
This site is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
If you are under age, ask a parent or legal guardian to write with you before sending us personal data. If we find we have received a minor’s data without that authorisation, we delete it.
13Term and changes
This policy applies from the date shown above and remains in force while the site operates. Data is kept for that same period, unless you ask for its deletion sooner.
If we change anything meaningful we will update the date, and when the change genuinely affects you we will say so visibly on the site as well.
